Social Transport

Social Transport is a rider-driven real-time transportation reporting application. As a bus rider, I know when the bus should be at my stop, but it never arrives on time. In addition, most service providers don't provide real time information because they don't want to, don't have the money to do so, or don't have the technology to do so. Even if they do, their method is most likely proprietary, so we need different apps for each city. Enter Social Transport...

With Social Transport, riders can:
-Select their service provider, or add it if it doesn't exist.
-Select a route for the selected service provider or add it if it does not exist.
-Privately submit the time, current location, and destination of the bus they are riding or leaving. Note that our software neither requires nor stores any personally identifiable information.
-View the last hour's reports of bus locations for the selected route on the map, including time and destination for each report.

Requires iPhone OS 3+, 3G data connectivity, location services and GPS.
