State Collector: A GPS Puzzle

FUN FOR TRAVEL: Do you like to travel to different states in the U.S.? Then take the State Collector app with you on your next family road trip! State Collector is a fun app for automatically tracking all of the states you have been to. Once you cross the border into a new state, you automatically get its electronic ‘sticker’ on your family’s USA map. It's like a GPS scavenger hunt. See how many states you can collect!

ALLEVIATES KID BOREDOM ON TRIPS: When traveling on road trips with children, State Collector can help make things a little more interesting for the kids. By seeing the connection with states and where they are currently, it can help reduce the frequency of the classic question "are we there yet?"

HERE'S HOW IT WORKS. State Collector uses GPS coordinates to determine the state you are currently located in. Once you travel to a new state, the state is automatically added to your collection! You can see each state you’ve been to on the map; they are colored in as you go. You can personalize your map and share with friends to see who has the most states.

IT'S EDUCATIONAL TOO. Each time you visit a new state, a message pops up with interesting facts about the state. It also helps you memorize the geography.

PREVIOUS TRAVEL OVERRIDE: Did you visit a state a long time ago? No worries! State Collector has an override button which allows you to add historical state data to your collection. For example, if you visited Washington State before you ever had an iPhone or iPad, you can click on the Override button to add Washington to your map...easy as that.

CUSTOM TILE COLORS: Now you can also switch between the classic solid color state tiles or a state flag puzzle image.

WORKPLACE TEAM-BUILDING: Take the Travel Challenge! State Collector counts the states you’ve been to over time, and displays a total count of states visited. You can also automatically share a snapshot of your State Collector map to Facebook. Use it as an ice-breaker in social occasions or as a team building exercise at work.
