What is it about?

Talking Points is a non-partisan news aggregation platform that allows users to actively engage with the news they consume, and with each other. As the Media has grown into a quasi fourth branch of government, our voting system puts a “check” on that branch by giving the power to the people. Users can browse articles within different categories and rate them on their level of bias, and discuss that bias in the comments. Once users vote on the article, the average rating will appear. Users are awarded points for voting on articles, and they will also be awarded the net total of points on their discussion depending on how many users agree or disagree. In this election year, we should all remain focused on the facts. Talking Points is the solution for users looking to consume news from different perspectives with the ability to transparently see what side of the isle those perspectives are coming from, all while remaining focused on the facts of a matter.
