HOW TO IMPORT BOOKS FROM IBOOKS

It is actually not possible to import books from iBooks to Textio directly. That’s because iBooks doesn’t support it. But you can easily do it by sending your book to your email and then opening it. Just open the book in iOS email client and tap "Open in Textio".

You can import books from Kindle and other readers the same way. If you want to open PDF, EPUB, MOBI, PRC or other formats in Textio, best way is to first convert them to plain text.

Also, since version 1.1, you can import your articles/books directly from Instapaper, Pocket and Readability.

See more at Support page.

INSTANTLY ACCELERATE YOUR READING SPEED TO 300%

Textio is a revolutionary app that helps you read your e-books fast. Speed reading is a broad field and you need to learn it to be fast reader. With Textio you don't need to learn anything. You just import your favorite e-book in HTML, TXT, or PDF and start speed reading.

Using Textio can your increase your reading speed up to 800 words per minute – that is three times the normal reading rate. Now you can read a thick book in a few hours.

DON'T LEARN ANYTHING, JUST READ LIKE A SUPERHERO

One of the skills Superman had was speed reading. Now you can be almost like him:) and start reading texts in the fastest way your brain can handle. Be a superhero without learning rapid reading.

HOW TEXTIO WORKS

When you are reading a book, your eyes jump from one word to another (or from one part of the line to the next). Textio takes this knowledge and uses it to your advantage. Our app shows a simple principle of displaying only one word at a time on your screen so your eyes don't need to jump around.

Instead of jumping from one word to another, your eyes rest on perfect spot somewhere in the word. This sweet spot is in the middle of the word or somewhere between the middle and one third of the word. Your brain usually sees the first few characters of a word and the rest is just compared with your memory. Longer words are recognized faster than very short ones. To help you find the sweet spot for your eyes in the word, we highlight it so you don't need to look for it.

To start and stop rapid reading, we want to introduce you to the “Read Wheel”. The “Read Wheel” is a circle for your thumb. When you want to speed read, hold the “Read Wheel” and words will be displayed continuously. Removing your thumb from the “Read Wheel” pauses rapid reading and you can see a whole block of text.
