Tonic Jar is your personal finance assistant designed to help you stay on top of debts and savings goals through a clean, elegant, and intuitive interface. Whether you want to track who owes you money, remember your repayments, or set a target for your next vacation, Tonic Jar offers a frictionless, visual-first approach to managing your personal finances — all on your device, with no account required.

The app is divided into two main sections: Debts and Goals. In Debts, you can log and manage all personal debts — whether you owe someone or someone owes you. Add the amount, name, a note, and set an optional reminder with a due date. Organize debts using filters like status (active/archived) or role (you owe / they owe you), and toggle between list and grid views for a personalized look. Editing, marking as repaid, or archiving is all one tap away.

In Goals, set your savings targets with a title, target amount, and deadline. You can add contributions anytime and track your visual progress through an animated progress bar. Each goal grows dynamically with every input, giving you satisfying feedback and a sense of accomplishment. Whether it’s for an iPad, a trip, or a big dream — every saved dollar moves you closer.

Customization is core to Tonic Jar. Choose between a smooth light or bold dark theme, switch dynamic fonts, and personalize your interface in Settings. Easily reset debts or goals separately, or relaunch the onboarding experience. All your data is stored locally using UserDefaults — we value your privacy and never send data elsewhere.
