Updated Remote App Features An iOS 7-Inspired Design

After teasing the redesigned app late last week, Apple has finally introduced version 4.0 of Remote in the App Store.
Also adding support for iTunes 11.1, the update doesn’t bring any new features but ushers in a simple and clean look that easily meshes with iOS 7.
Apple has already redesigned a number of its first-party apps for iOS 7, including Pages, Numbers, Keynote, iPhoto, iMovie, GarageBand, Podcasts, iTunes Movie Trailers, and Find My iPhone. Some notable apps that haven’t been redesigned yet include iTunes U and Find My Friends.
Remote is a universal app designed for the iPhone/iPod touch and iPad/iPad mini. It can be downloaded now in the App Store for free.
Not surprisingly before today’s update, the last major version of the app arrived in September 2012 after the introduction of iOS 6.
As a big Apple TV user, I really like the redesigned Remote. I’m looking forward to trying it out a little more soon. The app also lets users fully control iTunes on a Mac or PC.
