Trying to find when and where the Dark Knight is playing? Well, if you've got an iPhone, you're not without choices. Last Thursday's launch of the App Store saw 4 such applications vying for your attention. In an effort to cut through the madness and bring you the latest & greatest, AppleiPhoneApps.com has made it our mission to go through each one so you don't have to. We've laid out all the pros & cons, found the features that make each one unique, and even created detailed video demos to aid you in your selection. Our first installment is Movies.app by Jeffrey Grossman.

Pros

• Free • Ability to watch the trailer in the app • You can buy tickets, place theatre on a map • Allows you to see movietimes for shows up to 2 days in advance • Box Office Stats (only app available with this feature)Opening Soon (only app available with this feature)

Cons

No Auto-find location, must manually input your zipcode (only app with this flaw) • Ratings are not defined. We do not know the source rating the movie • No Movie Descriptions, only link to IMDB which leaves the app • From box office screen, you can’t click the movies to get show times • No Save State, so if you click one of the options that takes you out of the app (Place theatre on a map, buy tickets, or view IMDB) you must redo your search when you reenter app (only app with this flaw)
