Facebook v3.0 Finally Submitted For Review

We have been waiting patiently for the updated version of Facebook for the iPhone and iPod touch to arrive because this current version just isn't cutting it anymore, and finally, FINALLY we have word that the update has been submitted to Apple for review. Joe Hewitt, the man responsible for the Facebook app, had this to say via Twitter:

Just uploaded Facebook for iPhone 3.0 to the App Store for review. :)

Hewitt also stated that more details and screenshots will be posted on the app's Facebook page this coming week, and that he is very excited to begin work on v3.1. If you somehow missed what v3.0 is going to offer, here is a list from the Facebook page:

1. The "new" News Feed 2. Like 3. Events (including the ability to RSVP) 4. Notes 5. Pages 6. Create new photo albums 7. Upload photos to any album 8. Zoom into photos 9. Easier photo tagging 10. Not included in this list is iPhone 3GS video upload support, which Hewitt once again used Twitter to announce.
