Hey, so you found an iPod touch or an iPhone under the tree this morning, you activated it, maybe opened an iTunes account and you're wondering what's all the hype about.

Well, for the new ones of you, let us explain: the whole deal is about the apps. The apps are just like the applications you can get on your computer, they add new features to your iDevice and there is a 122,851 of them as of today.

For starters we put together a list of "essentials", those are the apps that we believe you can't live without. A lot of them are free, check them out:
