Games To Download For Free: Bebbled HD, Buster Red, Castle Fantasy, And Crazy Pirate Slots

Bebbled HD ($.99 -> Free): A "removem" style game where you must clear the board of colored pieces by matching at least two of a kind in order to achieve a specific score. In the game you are required to match at least two like pieces, but if you match more you are awarded with bonus points. As the board is cleared, less and less possible matches are available since no new pieces are added, so planning your taps is important. Pieces will be pushed together if an entire column has been removed. The game features a campaign mode, freestyle, and asynchronous online play. It also features Facebook integration so you can invite friends to play and share your high scores. Bebbled is actually a universal app, which means you can play it on both your iPhone and iPad. Bebbled HD will be available for free through this weekend. Buster Red ($1.99 -> Free): A top-down vertical shooter (because you can never have enough) that features colorful hand-drawn graphics. The game allows you to control one of three playable characters via touch. You can place your finger as near or as far away from your character as you like in order to get the best picture of what is going on. Your weapon is set to auto-fire, so all you have to do is dodge the enemy fire and pick up the many power-ups. The idea is to shoot for the highest score before running out of lives. The game also features three difficulty modes, a killer soundtrack, and OpenFeint integration to supply you with global leaderboards and achievements. Buster Red is available for free today only (5/13). Castle Fantasy ($.99 -> Free): A side-scrolling action platformer that features stylized graphics. Castle Fantasy's claim to fame is its colorful and well animated graphics. It features over 2,000 illustrations and 3D backgrounds that are meant to give you a sense of depth. The gameplay mostly consists of hacking and slashing your way through four chapters each with seven stages. You will be controlling your character via the usual on-screen controls with left and right directional arrows located in the lower left-hand corner of the screen and action bottoms in the lower right. Action buttons consist of a short and long range attack and jump. Castle Fantasy will be available for free until its next update, so do not wait to download this one. Crazy Pirate Slots ($.99 -> Free): A slot machine game that's more than just a game of luck. At first glance Crazy Pirate Slots may look like your usual 3 reel slot machine, but what makes it different is the ability to interact and shoot icons for bonuses and other features. As you spin the reels, pirate skulls appear randomly and unless tapped, will quickly disappear and will take some of your hard-earned coins with them. Parrots also appear, and when tapped, will launch a Wheel of Fortune-style mini game. The game gets progressively more difficult as you go along. The game is basically one part slot machine one part tap-shooter. As an added bonus, on May 31st the top ten "pirates" on the game's leaderboards will win iTunes gift cards.
