Bing For iPhone Updated: Social Search And Google Goggles-Like Feature Added

Microsoft has just released an updated version of their Bing for iPhone application, and it brings two very cool additions.
The first is a snap-and-search feature similar to Google Goggles, which allows for the visual scanning of certain objects - such as barcodes and cover art. This method of searching is of course in its early days, and so mixed reviews have been posted on iTunes citing this tool as being problematic.
The second involves the integration of Facebook and Twitter within the application: you can now see updates from your friends whilst searching through Bing. Here's what Microsoft has said on their Bing Blog:
Now when you search for something using our (beautiful, if I might say) Bing app, you’ll see web results along with relevant results from your social network. So if you search for a movie, you’ll see movie showtimes first, then anything your friends may have said about it next. This is a handy feature, and it works very well indeed. And even if Bing's visual search tool isn't quite perfect yet, for a free app you can't deny that Bing is actually rather good. Check it out in the App Store now!
