Following up on the original Apple II game, hit console game and summer movie; Prince of Persia is now available for the iPhone and iPod touch. While only having been available for a couple of days, it already appears to be a hit with an average rating of 4.5 stars.
Prince of Persia: Warrior Within was released briefly before, but had to be pulled to fix a problem with the menu system. Everything appears to be in working order now, however, this means users can finally have the popular game series in their hands.
Playing as the Prince of Persia, you try to escape the guardian of the time, find artifacts and escape the deadly fate constantly chasing the Prince. Gameloft pulled out all the stops with this title by including 12 chapters to play through, cinematics and voices from the console version of the game, and graphics that are optimized to push the technical capabilities of the iPhone.
