Reception Issues? There's A Wrap For That
June 30, 2010
There's an old saying about finding solutions that goes: "there's more than one way to skin a cat." When it comes to iPhone 4 reception problems, there is more than one way to skin that, too.
While Apple's Bumper and its alternatives have been in the forefront, there is an even simpler and cheaper way. Many iPhone users are familiar with the clear protective films that protect the front and back of the iPhone against scratches and smudges. Now that reception issues have made the headlines, the same type of products are being created for the edge of the iPhone 4.
First up is website: "AWrapForThat.com" whose decals cost $9.99, shipping included, for your choice of 12 colors or 8 patterns. Unfortunately, they haven't provided much in the way of examples of the product as of yet.
Secondly, on Etsy.com, seller "Lucky Labs" is offering your any 3 decals for $9.99 in your choice of ten colors. You can get 3 of the same or 3 different ones, all for the same price as one decal from the previous site. Lucky Labs also offers several sample shots of their product including the red one at the top of this post, and the pink one below:
Both products are very new, so we haven't had an opportunity to test them, but if skin contact is causing you to drop calls, this is could be your solution. If nothing else, these are a great way to customize your phone without adding bulk. At $9.99 or less each, they are likely the cheapest way to customize your phone too.
