No More Verizon iPhone 4 Rumors?

June 26, 2010

According to the Android-obsessed website, Droid Life, you can forget about owning a Verizon iPhone 4. The site, which apparently received a hot tip recently, has stated that Verizon's newest advertising slogan will be: "Verizon, Rule The Air!" Supposedly Verizon will be dropping the "wireless" from their name for the ad campaign as well. In addition, the Droid Life also claimes that Verizon will be putting full effort behind Android and the new lineup of Droid devices. Which sadly means no Verizon iPhone for us.
Their new slogan will be “Verizon, Rule the Air!” And the second part of the meeting (and most important to us) was to announce that they will not be interested in the iPhone 4 (as of now) and are putting full effort behind Android and the new lineup of Droid devices. From what I’ve gathered, the Droid X promo video that was shown at the launch was played again plus the announcement of an August release of the Droid 2.They basically called it the “Summer of DROID.”
This is bad news for any prospective iPhone owners who'd been holding out for a possible Verizon deal. Although nothing's official yet, it seems pretty certain (judging from the tip) that Verizon won't be carrying the iPhone this year. Guess we'll have to wait until 2011!
