The wait is finally over: Windows Live Messenger has now appeared in the App Store and is ready to be downloaded for free.
The iPhone and iPod Touch application allows users to connect to their Windows Live account, and chat with friends through Windows Live Messenger or Y! Messenger. The app still allows messages to be received when it's closed, which is an added (but expected) bonus.
Through Windows Live Messenger you can also access your Hotmail account, view updates from your contacts' Facebook, Flickr and MySpace accounts, and upload photos you've taken on your iPhone.
Early customer reviews have so far been very positive, with the best feature of Windows Live Messenger being the fact that it's free.
So check it out from the App Store now, and let us know what you think of it in the comments box below!
