Antique Wine Brings A Thousand Vintages To Your iPhone

If you're a wine-loving, iPhone-owning fanboy with a desire to discover a comprehensive wine database for your beloved iDevice, then look no further: we have the app for you.
It's called Antique Wine - and if you have a passion for the grapes, then this is undoubtedly one not to miss.
The free app brings users a super-concise wine list provided by The Antique Wine Company; "one of the world's foremost wine merchants." The list brings thousands of different wines to your iPhone's screen, and may be viewed by region, vintage, price or popularity.
In addition to this, the app also grants users access to a wide variety of podcasts regarding wine from every major region. These may be downloaded and played in-app, which is handy, as it cuts out any back-and-forth jumping between the application and iTunes.
As you can see from the above screenshot, wine data is downloaded automatically upon loading the app. Currently, Antique Wine does not sport any iOS 4 multitasking features - however, the app is still in its early days, so an update may soon be in the works.
Lastly, an enquiry list feature allows users to save any particular wines they encounter within the application for future perusal or even purchase at a later date. This is made possible by the fact that each wine displayed in the app comes complete with a contact telephone number, meaning users may further investigate a particular vintage if they so desire.
All in all, this is a great new app that will suit iPhone-owning wine lovers perfectly. Though I enjoy a glass (or two) occasionally, my particular beverages are usually selected by price at the local supermarket - so I can't see Antique Wine having any lasting impact upon my own life.
