Hold 'Em Helper is an app that let's you practice and analyze Texas Hold 'Em poker hands. It provides likely win percentages in comparison to other hands and the ability to do random or custom dealt hands. The latest release marks the adoption of a universal app, making a perfect training experience on any iDevice.
Tap the big white deal button to randomly deal the first set of cards, or tap the two hole cards to pick specific suits and cards. You will be given the current hand you have, i.e. king high, pair of aces, etc, and a list of any other combination of hands that will currently beat your own. The initial percentage is of any of those other hands winning over yours but you can scroll by swiping up or down on the list, and tap on any one to get a percentage and direct comparison of winning against just that hand. You can now either tap on the white deal button again to get dealt a random set of flop cards or tap on them to choose yourself. Continue this until the hand is over.
Continued practice with such a tool can help a player better realize the strengths of certain poker hands versus others, giving improved recognition of which hands to pursue and which to fold.
