A Chance To Win An iDrinkGames Promo Code With A Retweet Or Comment

July 25, 2010

AppAdvice has teamed up with GraafICT in order to offer you a chance to win one of eight (8) promo codes for iDrinkGames for iPhone and iPod touch ($.99). Generally responsible adults like to engage in a little bit of what we like to call "drinking games." Basically, a drinking game is using similar rules and objects from other games, like cards or dice, and adding the consumption of alcohol as something of a payment instead of currency or chips. iDrinkGames contains three drinking games that can make these activities less tedious because there is no need to find and deal with a physical deck of cards, or locate a set of dice. All you need is you, your friends, a couple of glasses, and some beer. King's Cup (aka Kings, Kingsen, Ring of fire, Circle of Death) is a card game using the entire deck of cards, where each card is associated with a specific action. Normally, the cards are laid out in a circle with an empty glass -- that you eventually fill -- designated the "King's Cup" in the middle. Each player draws a card and performs the action associated with it. For example, the first three people who draw a King can pour as much of their drink as they would like into the King's Cup, then the fourth person who draws a King must consume the contents of the cup. Each player takes turns drawing one card and than moving on to the next player until all cards have been drawn. Since some like to vary the rules, the Settings panel allows you to adjust what each card stands for. Mexxen is a game played with two dice and a cup to roll them in. The object of the game is to get the highest score. Mexx is when you roll a one and a two. Mexx is unbeatable and the next player must get a Mexx or they have to take a drink. If the next person does get lucky enough to get Mexx, than the third person must get Mexx or drink two glasses. Outside of Mexx, the second die is multiplied by ten. So, roll a two and four, your score is forty-two. Pairs are different, a pair is multiplied by one hundred. If you roll two threes, for example, you get a score of three hundred. It's not all about getting a high score. If you bluff and win, the next player needs to drink a beer, if you bluff and loose, you need to. iPanic is a self-made game, where up to four contestants test their reaction times. The game is very basic and effective. There is a spot (circle) for each player to place their finger on. Once all players are touching their designated circle, a random timer begins. When the timer stops, the buzzer goes off and players need to remove their finger as quickly as possible. The player who removes their finger the last (slowest) is the one who drinks a beer. You can have a lot of good fun with this app, but there are certainly some final items to mention. Foremost, drink responsibly. We don't want to hear gruesome stories of uncorrectable situations. Drink plenty of water in between the action and designate a sober driver if you plan on leaving when the fun is over. Finally, no one but you is responsible for your iPhone and safety, so let's use at least some common sense. Overall, have some good times and good luck to all who enter.
