Chopper 2 Lands In The App Store With A Unique Control Ability For Those With Both An iPhone And iPad
July 27, 2010
The high-flying attack helicopter game, Chopper 2, appears to be worthy step-up to its hit side-scrolling predecessor. The sequel features new weapons, new enemies, new missions, and better graphics. Along with these great gameplay enhancements, this release offers a new remote control and external display support for those with both an iPad and iPhone.
Chopper 2 uses a completely re-written 3D graphics engine with high-definition graphics for iPad and iPhone 4 users, and OpenAL for spatial sound effects to enhance the seventeen minute long original soundtrack. iPhone 4 users get the added bonus of being able to use the gyroscope for optimum control accuracy.
Help defend vehicles as they make their way through the desert, defend a train from underground enemies, and rescue stranded civilians in thirty-six missions spanning twelve different locations. To achieve your objectives, you'll need to attack enemy tanks and choppers, while avoiding both ground and air attacks.
For those of you fortunate enough to have an iPad and an iPhone, you get the option of turning your iDevices into something of a portable gaming console. Pair your iPad to your iPhone via Bluetooth to use it as a wireless controller. If you want to bring your experience to the very large screen, you'll need either the dock connector to VGA cable or the component AV cable. You can connect your iPad to your HDTV or other compatible large display to get an even more unique immersion. TV output is only supported from an iPad, and only when using the Bluetooth remote control feature.
Chopper 2 is a universal app compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad and is available now in the App Store for the introductory price of $2.99.
