Today iPhone and iPod touch gamers are in for a physics gaming treat. Blast Off, Gravity Sling Deluxe, and Finger Physics are all wonderful physics-based games that have gone free today and are worth checking out. iPad gamers can go head-to-head with a friend on the same device in Splash Duel HD, or sit back and relax with Abstract Glow Art HD. Blast Off ($.99 -> Free): Developed by Halfbrick, the creators of the insanely popular Fruit Ninja. Blast Off requires you to, well, blast off from Earth in your space ship in order to rescue the astronauts and safely navigate your ship to the warp gate. You only have a limited amount of time and fuel to gather the astronauts and escape, which is made even more difficult with the black and white holes that are constantly pulling and pushing on your ship. Tapping on the screen fires your blasters to help you keep a safe distance from the obstacles. Blast Off is available for free for an undisclosed amount of time. It has a three-and-a-half-star rating. Gravity Sling Deluxe ($2.99 -> Free): Another space / gravity game, only in this one you don't have rocket power to help you out. Your only tool is your mental calculations on how and where to launch your astronaut in order to avoid crashing into a planet while collecting as many stars as possible before reaching your ship. The game features 109 levels, OpenFeint integration, and awesome spirograph-like effects. Gravity Sling Deluxe is available for free today only (7/17). It has a three-and-a-half-star rating.
