Plants Vs. Zombies Updated, Fixes Crash Issue

July 29, 2010

Great news Plants vs. Zombies fans! The much-loved iPhone application has recently received another update, which corrects the crash bug many users had encountered following the game's 0.0.1 update. As PvZ's developer (PopCap Games, Inc.) says in the updated version's release notes (1.3):
- Fixes potential crash bug from previous version (0.0.1)
In addition to this fix, the update also includes 12 new achievements and language support for French, German, Italian, and Spanish. Sadly, there's no sign of the famed Michael Jackson zombie.

However, there is one major negative: this new update wipes your progress from the game, meaning returning users will have to start their botanical battle with the undead from the very beginning. So far, this is confirmed on iPhone 4 handsets, running iOS 4.0.1. If you're running the game on an earlier iOS, a different iPhone, or both, be sure to let us know whether your progress has been wiped in the comments box below.
