Sirius satellite radio's iPhone and iPod touch app,
SIRIUS XM Premium Online, has finally received iOS 4 multitasking features, like background audio playback and fast app switching, plus a few more enhancements.
SIRIUS XM Premium Online v1.3.3 let's you continue listening to your favorite music while using other applications on your iDevice running iOS 4. The new version also features reduced buffering when using your iPhone on the cellular data network, ability to organize your favorites, new settings options, and general bug fixes.
Sirius XM radio is up to 180 channels of digital commercial free music, sports, news, talk, comedy, and entertainment listening in your home or on the go.
Premium XM Radio Online lets you listen to your favorite channels when and where you want. Clear 128k sound is available on iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPod touch third generation, and select mobile devices with some channel restrictions. XM subscription plans are available from $10 to $20 per month, not including discounts or any additional taxes and fees.
For those of you who are current Sirius XM subscribers, this is a significant update. For those who haven't tried Sirius yet, now may be a good time to give the free trial a chance.
