app and
podcast.
One of the longest running web-based series', "The Temp Life" is about the manager of a temporary employment firm who finds himself out of work and landing a horrible temp position like he used to inflict on others. Now entering its fifth season, "The Temp Life" is available for free through a podcast in iTunes as well as its own iPhone app. For those unfamiliar with web series', you should be aware that these shows do not run one season a year like a conventional TV series. For example, this one will run five seasons in about three years.
Nominated for multiple awards, this series features an ensemble cast of some known and unknown comedic actors. Among the cast is Sandeep Parikh (Zaboo on
The Guild) and Illeana Douglas (Six Feet Under, Law and Order: SVU and Factory Girl.) The show is produced by staffing agency Spherion. Spherion thought the show would be a great way to not only entertain but also promote their brand and industry.
