Totemo HD Brings Casual Puzzling To The iPad
July 17, 2010
Totemo HD is a causal game of logic and puzzle solving, pitting you against 100 different tasks. It's the iPad counterpart to the much-enjoyed iPhone and iPod touch original, Totemo.
Pay attention as your witch doctor guide helps you understand how to send spirits stuck in between the realms of the living and the dead to their final resting place. The spirits must be bound as groups going horizontally or vertically. To bind spirits, tap to highlight them and than tap the next one, two, etc to complete the binding. When the task is fulfilled, you can now move on to the next. Tasks become much more difficult. If you make a mistake, tap on the totem-pole to get to the menu or simply shake your iDevice to reset and try the task again.
Need an extra challenge? Survival mode forces you to race against time to earn top place on the leaderboard. You begin with only 25 seconds but earn additional time by successfully completing tasks. Same rules apply as the story mode. Bind spirits in rows or columns, and shake your iDevice when you need to reset.
This title probably would've been best as a universal app instead of two separate ones, seeing as it offers nothing notably new for those who've experienced the original; however, it indeed seems a good choice for newcomers who are looking for a good logical puzzle game.
Totemo HD is now available in the App Store for $1.99.
