Apple Set To Acquire Online Games Developer?

According to a recent report by China's Xinhua News Agency (spotted by 9to5Mac), Apple is currently discussing the potential acquisition of China based Handseeing Information Technology Co., an online game developer (and last year's winner of the Chinese Game Industry Annual Conference Special Award) which currently employs 200 people.
The talks come ahead of iOS 4.1, which will include Apple's gaming network, Game Center. This was originally featured in the iOS 4.0 beta and then pulled. However, it seems as though Steve is finally ready to let this iCreation out into the wild. And, with the release iOS 4.1 coming along any time now, we're not going to have long to wait before we can access Game Center on our iPhone 3GS and 4 handsets.
If Apple successfully manages to acquire Handseeing Technology Co., it may be that we reap the benefits with an Apple-developed game. The developer specializes in MMORPGs, so perhaps something similar to WoW will be floating onto our iDevices in the near future.
