AppZap Releases A New Mind Game: All-In-1 Logic GameBox
August 7, 2010
Are you looking for another way to challenge your mind, or at least waste some time? If so, AppZap has released a massive puzzle game to stimulate those neurons. All-in-1 Logic GameBox contains six different puzzle solving game types with hundreds of levels each, giving you a lot to think about, literally.
The six included games are as follows:
Telescope has you using extend-able telescopes to maneuver a ball into a hole. You use each telescope to either push or pull the ball around. You can either drag the telescopes to expand or retract them, but I found tapping on them to be much simpler and quicker. Not only do you need to figure out which order to move the ball around but you'll also need to use certain telescopes to block and prevent others from extending in full. You're judged by the amount of moves it takes you.
Labyrinth isn't the maze title you're accustomed to. Instead, the goal is to move in paths to completely fill the game board. You can't move over a block more than once, and you can't cross paths. To play, simply tap and hold on the blocks to begin, then drag your paths. You simply need to complete each level to move onto the next.
Parking Lot is a twist on an old favorite. You're tasked with moving automobiles around a cramped parking space to allow your red with white racing stripes Mini Cooper to exit the lot. Cars can only move forwards and backwards. It may sound simple, but it most certainly isn't. This has multiple unlockable difficulty modes. This is also judged by the number of moves it takes you to complete the task.
Liquid Measure adds a bit to some puzzle games you've seen before. You move empty bins and pipe pieces around to successfully fill the bins with water. The additional component is each bin and outlet pipe are marked with numbers. The numbers on the bins indicate how much liquid they will hold, which is what you need to exactly fill them with. The numbers on the outlet pipes, at the top of the screen, indicate how much liquid will be expelled. The one thing I'll note is pipes don't deflect open water flow. For example, if you have a horizontal pipe piece that looks like it will block the flow of water, vertically from an outlet, the water will pass through the horizontal pipe section, as well as the pipe diverting whatever outlet it is connected to. Again, all you need to do is complete the task to move on.
Flip It is more of a memory game. Tapping squares will flip them over. What's tricky about it is that you'll need to remember tapping which square did what. Your final goal is to make the entire board all the same color of squares. This is another one of those that the least number of moves is the best.
Arithmetic is basic math. Basic math doesn't always mean easy math. Arithmetic has the almighty clock to time how long it takes you to complete the set of math equations. There isn't a lot I can do to help you out in this department, especially if you're no math wiz. However, the one thing I will mention for those that may have forgotten from back in high school, you'll perform multiplication and division before addition and subtraction. For example, 4 + 6 x 2 - 6 / 3 is equal to 4 + 12 - 2, which finally equals 14 and not 4.67. Arithmetic offers multiple difficulty modes and they are all unlocked.
These six games comprise over 1,000 levels with more planned in future free updates. You'll also have the chance to earn in-game achievements that you can share via Twitter or Facebook. With such a huge amount of levels and at a price tag of only $.99, puzzle lovers should look to grab this title with little hesitation.
