Yep, you heard me: China is all set to get Apple's latest handset, the iPhone 4, in early September - with network China Unicom partnering up with Apple to carry the device.
Not so long ago, the Chinese government didn't permit the sale of Wi-Fi enabled mobile phones in an effort to promote the alternative WAPI standard. However, such phones can now be sold, and the Apple iPhone is scheduled to hit stores very soon indeed.
Additionally, the iPad will also be going on sale, though a date has not yet been set for Apple's "magical and revolutionary" device. It has been noted that the two will not hit stores together.
South Koreans will be glad to know that, for them, the iPhone 4 is now available to pre-order. According to Softpedia, the handset will be available no later than September.
