Hands Off Google, That's Our App Store You've Got There!

Check out the above image. Does it look familiar? Kind of like the App Store, right?
The image, captured by 1up.com, shows Google's Chrome Web Store - a store which will allow users to purchase web applications in the same way Apple's App Store allows for the purchase of iDevice apps.
As TechCrunch reports, Google has blatantly copied the App Store in its development of the Chrome Web Store. I mean, the two are near replicas of one another (as you can see from the above screenshot).
It's interesting that Apple has set the standard for application stores, following the release of the company's now famous App Store, way back in 2008. In all honesty, I can't blame Google for finding inspiration in Apple's masterpiece.
And, at the end of the day, it could be worse: I guess Google could have copied the Android Market.
