Multiplayer Game Center Restrictions Added To iOS 4.1

August 16, 2010
Well, it looks like Apple's Game Center isn't going to be dropped from the final release of iOS 4.1. The latest developer build of the upcoming software update brings the new option to restrict multiplayer games, indicating that Game Center is becoming more and more of a concrete reality. This new option comes under the "Restrictions" section in Settings, where iPhone users have the option to block off a series of the handset's features - such as Safari or YouTube. The latest build of iOS 4.1 sees the addition of "Multi Player Games" (see screenshot above) at the bottom of the list - meaning users will have the option to turn multiplayer gaming off on their iPhone. We're expecting iOS 4.1, which will bring Game Center and several other features, to be released around the September/October time frame. We'll be posting as soon as the final release is available, so keep an eye on AppAdvice for all the latest iRelated news!
