Remember The Milk: Only Go Pro Through In-App Purchasing

Remember The Milk (RTM) is a popular task-management service that extends to a variety of platforms. Aside from all the popular mobile operating systems (such as iOS, Android, BlackBerry OS, Windows Mobile), RTM can also be used with Gmail, Google Calendar, Twitter, or offline (with Gears).
Previously, if you wanted to use RTM, a paid subscription to the service was required - either $24.99/year or $2.99/month. That bought users an RTM pro account, and access to a variety of features (such as push notifications and automatic syncing).
However, this great application is now free in the App Store, albeit short of a few expected features. Users can check out RTM for iPhone and have no obligation to purchase the app or enroll in a paid subscription. The free version of the app includes many of the same features as the pro version - except push notifications and regular syncs.
Instead, users of the free application must manually sync their RTM account, and this can only be done once every 24 hours at the very most.
If you're the kind of person who plans to use RTM over a variety of platforms, or if you really need push notifications to keep your head in the game, then the pro version of this application is recommended. Yet, if you can survive without notifications, and aren't desperate to have your RTM account constantly synced, then the free version should easily suffice.
Either way, be sure to check out Remember The Milk in the App Store now, and see how the free version works for you! If you decide that the pro version is required, a simple in-app purchase can make this possible for you. And, thanks to TUAW for spotting this.
