Ah, the age old game of Battleship. For a great many years we've know it and loved it, even on our iPhone and iPod touch handsets. A year ago, iSink U bounced onto our handhelds, with a free lite version following a few months later, and we all enjoyed the digital game of Battleship for a long time.
However, following the release of the iPad way back in April, many had been holding out for an HD version of iSink U. And, after several months of patiently waiting, I'm finally glad to report that the first version of iSink U iPad Edition is available for purchase in the App Store now, for the minuscule price of $0.99!
Fanboys familiar with the original game will be relieved to know that the iPad version of iSink U is very similar to its predecessor - though a new attack system prevails over the newer version. This involves decisions being made in accordance with "action points," adding a further dimension to the classic game.
Players still command a squadron of four boats and one submarine, and unlockable features such as a hidden map and "three prestigious medals" are available to those wise enough to conquer the game!
The only downside to iSink U iPad Edition is that users have to pay a further $0.99 for a game that is very similar to the iPhone version. However, a total of $1.98 for both applications is a pittance - iSink U is most definitely worth its price tag, so be sure to check it out in the App Store now! And, as always, let us know your experience with iSink U in the comments box below!
