Chillingo and Traplight Games are extremely excited to announce the first update to their high-flying superhero title, The Hero. In this release, the campaign has been restructured, levels rebuilt, and three new mini-games have been added.
The Hero is a comic book-style game where you control an unnamed superhero that is called back into action. Save city residents from fires, asteroids, swarms of insects, catch falling infants, and so much more. In your attempts to save city residents, thwart enemies, and destroy destructive objects on your way to confront the deranged Dr. Hubbub, you'll need to maintain the satisfaction of the civilians. The fame meter tells you how much the citizens are satisfied with your actions. If you lose all of your fame, that's it for our spandex wearing savior.
The restructured campaign allows for a more fluid storyline and improved game pace. Levels have also been rebuilt and split into waves, this way you'll get a bit less overwhelmed. What's also really exciting is the addition of three new mini-games. Asteroids forces you to defend the city from speeding giant sized boulders that you'll need to break apart or completely explode. Bomb Run is a frantic race against time with some heavy flying explosions. High-Fiver pits you to achieve the longest high-five streak possible and gain fame amongst your grateful citizens. Finally, citizens now yell out to our unknown hero for help.
