The Angry Birds Flock To Game Center, Look Prettier With Retina Support, And Much More

September 30, 2010
It's here folks, the highly anticipated Angry Birds update has hit the App Store. The Angry Birds have accepted their invitation to Apple's Game Center, gotten a new golden egg sound board, new language support, improved memory management, new levels, and Retina quality graphics. Game Center support provides a marvelous 43 achievements to earn, totaling 540 points. There's a leaderboard for each episode and world, which makes for a total of 16 leaderboards to climb. While all Angry Birds get 15 new levels to help the vengeful birds conquer those darn evil green pigs, iPhone 4 and 4th generation iPod touch users can do it all with even more visual crispness on their Retina displays. Also, Angry Birds uses less memory and has localization for English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Chinese, and Japanese. The team over at Clickgamer finished off by saying:
We’d like to take this opportunity to extend our infinite gratitude to friends of our fierce birds everywhere. We thank you sincerely from the bottoms of our fluffy hearts for making Angry Birds the highest rated and best selling game ever on iTunes!
If you haven't gotten involved with the sensation yet, Angry Birds is available in the App Store for only $.99. [Thanks to the tip from Typerintegra056]
