Bartab - Send And Receive $1 Drinks Through Your iPhone!

Don't you just love it when a friend buys you a drink? I do. It's always an unexpected treat, and one that never, ever, gets old (especially not while the drinks keep coming). However, imagine this: you're out, at your favorite bar, with your iPhone in hand. Then your phone buzzes, and you realize your pal has sent you a $1 drink digitally.
I kid you not. Because through Bartab (a recently-released iPhone application), this utopian future has become a firm, fixed reality.
And, what's more, the concept is simple. iPhone owners head over to the App Store, and download Bartab's free app (website). From here, connect to Facebook through the application, select a friend, and pay $1. Your lucky pal will receive the beverage as a Facebook wall post. Then, your friend can redeem the drink, and get anything he wants at the bar for a further $1.
The downside to Bartab is its current lack of support for most major cities. As of this moment, the service can be used in San Francisco, Los Angeles, and New York. Further support for other cities has been promised by the developers.
