iHome Utilizes Apple's AirPlay In Recently Announced Speaker Dock

Recently, while speaking on stage at Apple's special event, Steve Jobs announced a new service dubbed "AirPlay." This clever feature allows iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch owners (running iOS 4.2) to wirelessly stream audio to any AirPlay-enabled device.
Up until a couple of days ago, the only announced AirPlay-enabled device we knew of was the recently premiered Apple TV. However, thanks to a report by Engadget, we now have another device to add to the list.
Unsurprisingly, the device is a portable speaker dock (see image below), and it has been designed by iHome. From what we've heard, the dock will have a rechargeable battery and it'll be available for the holidays. Sadly, not much else is currently known about iHome's creation, as its page is expectedly vague. However, you can submit your contact details on the site, and you'll be one of the first to get more information when it is available.
Personally, I think AirPlay will be a great feature and one definitely worth taking advantage of. I just hope AirPlay-enabled speakers don't cost a fortune. We'll be posting as soon as we hear more about iHome's creation, or about any other AirPlay-enabled devices which are in the works. So keep checking back for regular updates!
