iOS 4.2 Beta 2 Released To Developers - Brings New Multitasking Animation & More
September 29, 2010
Following its traditional two week schedule, last night Apple released a new beta of its upcoming iOS 4.2 system to developers. While not as groundbreaking as the first beta, it does bring a couple of new things we're sure you'll be very excited about.
New iPad Multitasking Animation
The major feature of iOS 4.2, is the arrival of multitasking on the iPad. In the first beta, it behaved the same way as on the iPhone. In this new beta, Apple decided that the old animation didn't cut it, and came up with a new one. It consists of having your current screen slide left, while the new one will slide around it horizontally to arrive in the front. You need to see it to understand it (via Macstories):
Game Center Symbols in the App Store
Remember that Game Center distinction Apple added in the App Store a couple of days ago? Well, it has made its way to the mobile App Store as well (via iSpazio):
