Jailbreak Only: Easily Enable Game Center And HDR On iPhone 3G

Yesterday, we told you Game Center had been successfully ported to a jailbroken iPhone 3G, running iOS 4.1. iPhone 3G owners will undoubtedly be aware that several aspects of Apple's latest software update were banned from appearing on their device. Game Center and HDR photography (which is also excluded from iPhone 3GS) were the features most worth missing.
However, today we've heard from the guys over at ModMyi that a great tweak has appeared in Cydia, which allows iPhone 3G owners to get Game Center and HDR photography working on their handsets.
Obviously, your device needs to be jailbroken. The Dev-Team's redsn0w or iH8sn0w's sn0wbreeze can jailbreak iPhone 3G handsets running iOS 4.1. However, an official release has still not happened - so jailbreak at your own risk (and be sure to read the small print).
Once you've got a jailbroken iDevice, simply search for HDR/GameCenter Enabler in Cydia (it's available in the ModMyi repo), and install it. Hey presto, you've got Game Center and HDR photography running on your iPhone 3G. If you install the tweak on your iPhone 3GS, HDR photography will be enabled.
From what we've heard, both work great on Apple's second oldest handset. Which makes you wonder: wouldn't life be easier if Apple had just allowed Game Center and HDR to run on the iPhone 3G in the first place?
