Free iPad Engraving Now Available In Time For Christmas

Apple is now offering free engraving for iPads in its online store, confirming the rumor we told you about way back in July.
If you want to add a personal message to the back of an iPad, remember you only have two lines to play around with. Even John Keats would have found that a challenge. And, what's more, engraving an iPad increases the shipping time from "Within 24hrs" to "1-3 business days," so be sure to allow for this if you do decide to go for the engraving option.
Personally, I'm not so sure about engraving. We're all expecting a new iPad to be announced by Steve around April (at the latest).
An engraved message on the back of a first generation iPad really reduces its resale value. And, I think Jony Ive did a good enough job designing Apple's "magical and revolutionary" device. But, that's just me; what do you think?
There's no doubt that Apple's iPad is expected to be the number one Christmas gift this year. And, with the offer of free engraving, many are going to be even more persuaded to spend big bucks on one of Apple's touchscreen wonders.
If you're thinking of buying a loved one an engraved iPad for Christmas, let us know in the comments below. And, if you want to share your engraved message with us, feel free! Thanks to AppleInsider for spotting this.
