Golf Vision: Let This Clever App Plot An Important Putt

Golf video games are incredibly fun, because they're generally easy and stress free. You can drive the ball by simply holding down a button, and can gauge a chip shot out of a sand trap with the help of a friendly power bar. And, when it comes to putting, a helpful trajectory appears on the screen, predicting the exact course your golf ball is going to take.
If you've ever thought it would be amazing if something like this could help you out in real life, then you're in for a treat. Because not long ago, Golf Vision Green Analyzer hit the App Store.
This clever iPhone application can indeed tell you the exact direction in which you should putt your golf ball, when confronted with a sloping gradient on the green. As you can see from the demo video embedded below, the concept behind the application isn't exactly unfamiliar.
All you have to do is measure a couple of slope angles using your iPhone's accelerometer. Then, the application will do a few quick calculations, and will produce a display (see above) highlighting exactly where you should send the ball.
Currently, Golf Vision Green Analyzer is available in the App Store for a mere $0.99. So, if you're a regular golfer, why not load up this interesting app, and test it out the next time you hit the green? If you do, be sure to post your experiences in the comments below! And, thanks to Cult of Mac for spotting this.
