To Infinity, And Beyond - iPhone Travels To Space!

This is probably the most entertaining and interesting thing you'll read all day: approximately a month ago, a couple of guys from Brooklyn, NY decided to send an iPhone into space.
It wasn't just about the iPhone. In fact, the group of friends (collectively known as the Brooklyn Space Program), wanted to send an HD video camera into space. However, they also needed to track the camera; which is where the Apple iPhone came in.
You can check out the Space Program's video below, which includes footage of the actual flight. It's pretty amazing, and definitely worth the watch.
But, what I find even more amazing is the fact that an iPhone still worked after being exposed to temperatures of 60 degrees below zero, and after having been battered by 150 MPH winds. Just as the space craft breaks through the clouds, the iPhone's GPS comes back online, and its signal is broadcast, allowing the team to locate their fallen craft.
The great news is the Brooklyn Space Program is promising to offer a How-To book, for anyone interested in having a go at this themselves. It's currently a work in progress, so be sure to register your interest if want to send your own craft into the dark realms of space!
The video is linked below. As always, let us know your thoughts in the comments! And, thanks to 9to5Mac for spotting this.
