iPhone Apps Gone Free: Chain Link Pro, Galaxart, jBall, and Digi Ü

Tyler is scheduled to return to his regular duties tomorrow. Unfortunately, there aren't a lot of stupendous choices today but we do have a handful for you to grab. Puzzle-lovers can get their fix with a high speed matching game, waste some time with a simple 2D side-scrolling platformer, and show off your creativity by designing a cartoon avatar or building your own galaxy.

iPhone:
Chain Link Pro ($1.99 -> Free): Quick whits, an accurate finger, and the utmost efficiency is what it takes to conquer Chain Link Pro. Move the colored gems into the center vortex to score points. Link same color gems to form a chain to earn substantial point boosts and more. Touching different colored gems causes them to explode, and the loss of a life. Chain Link Pro provides three game types with multiple difficulties: Static, Timed, and Arcade. Integration of OpenFeint provides even more replay value with the ability to earn achievements and a spot on the global leaderboards.

Galaxart ($.99 -> Free): Choose from nearly seven dozen different space bearing objects: 14 stars, 28 planets, 16 nebulae, 13 galaxies, and 11 other objects and effects. When picking an object, you can determine the placement size, the opacity, one of four effects, and whether or not the placement while swiping is scattered or follows your finger. For those who have an iPhone 4 or 4th generation iPod touch, you’ll be happy to know that the app has been optimized for the Retina display.
Galaxart is available for free for a limited time. It has a four-star rating, and a total of 6 ratings.
jBall ($.99 -> Free): A combination of caution and speed is required to succeed in this side-scrolling platformer. Instead of a typical character, you control a blue orb. Plow through walls of yellow bricks, skip over platforms and other "stepping stones" to reach the end without plummeting to the bottom. Tilt your iDevice left or right to move and tap anywhere on the screen to jump.
jBall is available for free for one week. It has a four-star rating, and a total of 5 ratings.
Digi Ü ($.99 -> Free): An avatar creator for those looking to make crazy cartoon versions of themselves or others. Export them to your Camera Roll to use as a wallpaper or Lock Screen image. If anything, at least something of a time waster when you're waiting in line.
Digi Ü is available for free today only (10/11). It has a three-star rating, and a total of 12 ratings.
