It's your job to help fight back against the usurping Royalists alongside your fellow Resistance army. Gameloft's new Star Battalion, an epic space combat flight simulator, places you smack in the middle of a war for freedom and power.
The conflict began because Taros betrayed his brother, Atreus, and took leadership of his empire. As Taros intends to hold the galaxy in fear, he has created an army that will destroy any who oppose him. The only hope to restore civilization to the peacefulness it once was will be for Atreus to command the Resistance and regain his once great empire.
Follow the deep storyline of the campaign as you jump into the cockpit of four different starships. Each vessel has its own potential of weaponry and other abilities to take on the devious loyal followers of the Royalists. Your quest will require fast reflexes and strategic piloting in a number of missions across many planets, forcing you to adapt to changing environments and conditions.
Star Battalion is capable of running on most iOS based devices, but those with an iPhone 4 or 4th generation iPod touch can immerse themselves even more by sporting high-definition graphics, that take advantage of the marvelous Retina display, and allowing the use of the built-in gyroscope for accurate control.
With the use of both Gameloft LIVE and Apple's Game Center, you can team up locally (Blutooth or Wi-Fi) or over the Internet to conquer the Royalist with more ease and efficiency. Even if you don't have any friends to recruit to your squad of the Resistance, you can still be admired for your accomplishment of earning Game Center achievements and placement on the leaderboard.
