Old-School Sierra Classics To Hit iPad As Unofficial Web Apps

October 20, 2010
If you're a fan of old school Sierra video games, then you're in for a treat. Because, according to TUAW, the classic '80s adventure games are set to hit the iPad as unofficial web applications! Martin Kool runs Sarien.net: a website which offers classic Sierra video games which have been ported to the web. Now, he wants to make a couple of web apps, and send some Sierra games the iPad's way. Essentially, an entire video game could be ported to the iPad for free via this means. And, as of this moment, Kool hasn't received a cease and desist letter from Activision, Sierra's parent company. Interestingly, Kool also plans to add a multiplayer aspect to the ported Sierra classics. Clearly, this guy takes after his own name. We'll keep you posted on Martin Kool's progress. Hopefully we'll be seeing a Sierra web app launch soon! In the meantime, you can check out some of his ports over at Sarien.net.
