Verizon FiOS Mobile Remote App Arrives To Bring Further Convenience For Your TV

If you're a Verizon FiOS customer who has subscribed to the company's TV service, there's now "an app for that." The Verizon FiOS Mobile Remote is a new companion for FiOS TV customers who've also equipped their digital lifestyles with an Apple iPhone or iPod touch.
Use the remote feature to control basic functions like volume and channel changing, using either up and down arrows or number entry. It's just as simple to control the DVR operations, or even the on-screen channel guide and parental controls. The Verizon FiOS Mobile Remote will make finding your favorite shows and using FiOS TV widgets, like Facebook and Twitter, even less cumbersome by turning your new remote into a familiar QWERTY keyboard or number-pad.
Want to quickly view photos from a recent trip or outing on your TV without having to sync with any device? Launch the Verizon FiOS Mobile Remote app and navigate to My Photos. Just use a flick of your finger to push photos from your iDevice to your TV.
You've likely spent a notable amount of time choosing your favorite channels for quick access. The My Favorites feature allows importing of your favorite channels stored on any FiOS set-top-box to your iDevice.
To begin using your new app, choose the FiOS Mobile Remote widget on your set-top-box, and follow the instructions to pair that receiver to your iDevice. The app requires Verizon FiOS TV service and a Verizon FiOS provided wireless router. The iOS version is compatible with iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 3G, and iPot touch running iOS 3.0 later.
