Cydia To Be Updated Soon, Will Bring Improved Support For iPad

November 6, 2010
Prominent Dev-Team member, MuscleNerd, recently told the world via Twitter that Cydia is soon to be updated:
Both @chpwn and @saurik have been burning the midnight oil prepping for updated version of Cydia
Included in the Twitter update was a screenshot of the refined Cydia design. As you can see, the "Who Are You" window has been redesigned, and now gives a better explanation of what the categories of "User," "Hacker," or "Developer" actually entail. Additionally, Cydia will finally gain landscape support for the iPad, something we've been looking forward to for some time now. Also, as you can see from the above screenshot, "Sources" no longer lives under the "Manage" tab, and instead will have its own position at the bottom of the application. Unfortunately, we're not exactly sure when the updated version of Cydia will be released. According to @chpwn, it'll simply be released "when it's ready." Seems reasonable enough to me. We'll keep you updated on the Cydia situation, and will be posting as soon as the update is released. And, thanks to MacStories for spotting this! [gallery]
