Great news, iPhone 3G owners: according to the guys over at CoveringWeb, a simple jailbreak using redsn0w can activate AirPrint on your iPhone 3G/iPod touch 2G device. Yesterday, Apple released iOS 4.2.1. This new software update brings AirPrint to many iDevices - but, sadly, not to iPhone 3G and iPod touch 2G devices. Following this, the iPhone Dev-Team updated redsn0w. The new version of the popular jailbreak tool now supports iOS 4.2.1. And, luckily, iPhone 3G/iPod touch 2G users can enjoy an "untethered" jailbreak. Obviously, as AirPrint requires multitasking, the iPhone 3G and iPod touch 2G (which can't multitask), cannot take advantage of this feature. However, according to CoveringWeb, all it takes to enable AirPrint on your legacy device, is for the user to enable multitasking. This can be done when jailbreaking using redsn0w: CoveringWeb's post. And, if you manage to enable multitasking on your legacy device, let us know in the comments below!
