Flight Doodle Now Supports Game Center, Along With Some New UI Features
November 17, 2010
If you felt you needed more from Flight Doodle, your wishes may have been answered. The latest version of Eyedip's endless climbing, or should I say flying, game improves upon the competitive and interactive aspects of the game.
As far as control changes go, the bonus buttons now line-up down the left side, whereas the new speed adjustment slider is placed on the right side. Speaking of bonuses, a new bomb bonus has been added to clear out even more thumbtacks. The speed slider works by pulling down for faster and pushing up for slower, it automatically returns to normal speed when released. The Boost system now has a meter to inform you when it overheats, and how long it will be until fully charged again. The control scheme can be reversed under the Options section.
Some users felt there was a lack of competitiveness and replayability to the title, so Flight Doodle now integrates two Game Center leaderboards and 26 achievements to compliment the OpenFeint support, plus tweaks to the difficulty increments.
“Game Center integration broadens the social gaming network for our fans, and to make sure the competitive landscape stays interesting, we’ve made several balance changes to incorporate all of the fantastic feedback from our fans,” says Steven Fleisher, Co-Founder of Eyedip. “Power-ups drop more frequently so we scaled up the rate that the difficulty increases in order to coincide with the new increased fire power.”The team at Eyedip go as far as throwing out a tease for the next update of the game:
