Guerrilla Bob To Receive Co-op Multiplayer And Other Big Feature Additions
November 20, 2010
The acclaimed third-person action-shooter Guerrilla Bob, developed by Angry Mob Games and published by Chillingo, will soon see a very significant update. The next version will feature a number of multiplayer additions, iPad support, improved graphics, iOS 4 support, and more.
Guerrilla Bob will join the likes of other up-to-date games by supporting what iOS 4.0's fast app switching and iOS 4.1's Game Center have to offer. As a real push to keep up with gamer demands, the title will also now support the iPad and the stunning Retina display. While the exact mention is a "new enhanced Guerrilla Bob HD for the iPad," my guess is this will be a universal app -- or so would be hoped.
Those features would be enough to entice most users to jump on board, although, Guerrilla Bob's biggest upcoming feature will be the inclusion of cooperative multiplayer abilities. With the upcoming iPad support, there will now be enough room to have up to two users playing simultaneously, and without the need for the somewhat annoying split-screen.
The fun isn't going to stop there, however, along with the same device multiplayer ability, Guerrilla Bob will furnish a chance to team up on numerous devices using a local Wi-Fi connection: Mac, PC, iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.
Finishing off this seemingly must-have update, the game will include another new playable character, improved controls, and some various gameplay balancing tweaks.
See why users have given it an average four-star rating, and why we consider it an "absolute must" by checking out our full app review.
Currently in the final beta testing phase, which will close November 25th, there's no official word on a definite release date, any possible price change, etc. You can grab the current version of Guerrilla Bob in the App Store now for $2.99.
