Guitar World Lick of the Day is a new universal iOS app which is available in the App Store now. This free application promises to teach iDevice owners a new "guitar lick" each and every day, and even features guitar heroes such as Zakk Wylde, Joe Satriani, Gus G., and Phil Collen dealing out the advice.
As modmyi reports, the universal application works great on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. However, when working through lessons on an iPad, the results are very impressive. Lick of the Day takes full advantage of the tablet's 9.7" screen, displaying as much information as possible during lessons. When running the app on an iPhone, users are required to progress through a variety of different screens in order to view all of the information required.
Lick of the Day also offers users guitar lessons, however these do come at a price. While the first five lessons are free, subsequent lessons are available on a subscription basis. Fans of the app can purchase one month of lessons for $4.99, three months for $12.99, or six months for $19.99.
