November 11, 2010
A recent Consumer Electronics Association survey has declared Apple's iPad to be one of this year's most wanted Christmas wishes. The "magical and revolutionary" device comes in third, behind "Peace/Happiness," and "Notebook/Laptop." The full results of the survey can be viewed below:

As early as July the iPad was predicted to be a super-popular Christmas gift. And, since Apple introduced free engraving for the device, I can imagine a lot of people have been buying an iPad for their tech-savvy loved ones. However, let's not forget Apple's other iOS devices. As you can see from the above list, Apple's iPod touch isn't too far behind the iPad. Indeed, over in the UK, the iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad are this year's top three most wanted Christmas gifts. As many as 39% of children in the UK want one of Apple's iOS-powered iDevices this year. Undoubtedly, this is going to be a great Christmas for Steve Jobs and the rest of the guys over at Apple HQ. If these predictions are anything to go by, iPad sales are going to go through the roof, even though a second-gen model will most probably hit stores in April 2011. So, are you planning on buying somebody you love an iDevice this Christmas? Let us know in the comments below! And, thanks to Fortune for spotting this.
